Our Commitment to the Courts: Auditable, Fraud-Proof Digital Community Service

We recognize that courts and probation officers require absolute certainty when verifying digital community service. Our platform was custom-engineered to eliminate "honor system" reporting through rigorous server-side tracking, cognitive assessments, and anti-fraud protocols.

Here is how our technical verification architecture guarantees the integrity of every minute logged.

1. Our Verification Architecture

To ensure the integrity of every minute logged, our platform operates on a closed-loop tracking system that does not rely on user-reported data.

  • Server-Side Time Tracking: Time spent in the program is recorded directly by our servers—not by the participant's browser. This prevents users from manipulating local computer clocks or timers to falsify hours.
  • 10-Minute AFK Idle Detection: Our software enforces a 10-minute strict idle timeout protocol. If a participant walks away from their screen and goes AFK (Away From Keyboard) for 10 minutes, the timer pauses automatically. Users cannot "fake" hours by leaving a browser tab open indefinitely.
  • Progressive Comprehension Barriers: Our comprehensive curriculum spans Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Substance Abuse & AA integration, domestic violence intervention, anger management, and core restorative justice modules. Participants must complete comprehensive written assessments, requiring a minimum of 80 characters of meaningful reflection per question, before the system allows them to advance.
  • AI-Screened Reflection Responses: Free-form written reflection exercises are actively filtered for "spam," gibberish, or plagiarized text to ensure participants are genuinely engaging with the material.

2. Required Documentation for Court Approval

Unlike traditional programs that issue simple completion certificates, The Foundation of Change issues detailed, auditable documentation.

Upon a participant's successful completion of their required hours, they are provided with two primary documents:

  • The Certificate of Completion: A high-level summary indicating the participant’s legal name, total verified hours completed, and the date of completion, signed off by an authorized Foundation administrator.
  • The Timesheet Verification Letter (TVL): An itemized audit log that breaks down the participant’s entire session history, exact timestamps, and specific modules successfully completed.

Note for Probation Officers: If a participant provides a Certificate of Completion without an accompanying Timesheet Verification Letter, you may request the TVL directly from the participant or our verification department to conduct a full audit.

3. Direct Verification Requests

Supervising officers, prosecutors, and court clerks who need to independently verify a participant’s documentation, request an audit log, or seek clarification on our fraud-prevention systems may contact our compliance team directly at info@thefoundationofchange.org.
